How We Make Sustainable Travel in Camden, Maine Easy

Food & Drink

We serve a delicious, daily breakfast at the Camden Maine Stay Inn. To make our culinary creations eco-friendly, we purchase various foods like coffee, produce, eggs, and meat, from local suppliers wherever possible. Additionally, we maintain an organic, on-site herb and vegetable garden for a sustainable supply of fresher, in-season ingredients. We also divert practically all of our food waste from the town’s landfill through our participation in a community-based composting program.

Tesla Charging Station

We’re all aware of how detrimental automobile pollution is for our environment. In today’s world, drivers are opting for hybrid or electric vehicles to reduce their own carbon footprint. That’s why we teamed up with Tesla Motors to provide our guests with a free Tesla charging station

Heating & Air Conditioning

Our guests’ comfort is of the utmost importance to us at the Camden Maine Stay Inn. That means staying cool during the summertime and warm during the winter months! To maintain both comfort and sustainability, we installed energy-efficient, mini-split electric heat pumps throughout the Inn. The heat pumps allow us to reduce our consumption of heating oil and propane during the cooler months and eliminate our reliance on inefficient, noisy room air conditioners during the warmer months.

Eco-Friendly Things to Do

At the Camden Maine Stay Inn, we do our part to implement green practices wherever possible. For our guests, the simplest way to do your part is to participate in eco-tourism. From the hiking trails at Camden Hills State Park to spending a day relaxing on the Camden Harbor to skiing and snowshoeing in the winter, there are many outdoor adventures to choose from!
